VEGETABLE PATTY [vedio is at the bottom ]
Vegetable patty is a crisp and tasty snack with crunchy vegetables which can be enjoyed at any time of the day .They can be stored in the freezer for few days . Vegetables according to your taste can be added too . Cashew nut and raisins mixed with the vegetable mixture also gives very good flavour .
COOKING TIME 30 minutes SERVES 4
INGREDIENTS
Maida flour 1 cup
Suji 1/3 cup , oil 1/3 cup , salt , little water
Onion 1 , carrot 1/2 cup , beans 1/2 cup , bell pepper 1/2 cup , [ all cut in small pieces ] potato 1/2 boiled , salt , red chilli powder , oregano 1/2 tsp , tomato sauce 1tbs
METHOD
Add 1/3 cup oil to 1 cup maida and 1/3 cup suji both mixed together with salt . Add little water to make dough neither hard nor soft . Keep it covered for 20 minutes .
Put 1 tbs oil in open pan , add onion cut in small pieces . After 2 minutes add carrot , beans and bell pepper , add salt and red chilli powder . Cover it for 5 minutes .
After 5 minutes when the vegetables have become crunchy , sprinkle oregano and 1tbs tomato sauce . Mix boiled potato well .You can add cashew nuts and raisins to the mixture .
Take little dough and roll it in oval shape .Keep 1 tbs vegetable mixture on half side of oval shape , coat the surroundings of oval with water . Now cover the veg mix with the other half side of oval shape of dough roll, pressing the borders of three sides .
Press with the fork so that the borders of oval shape is sealed properly from both the sides and with water, they are stuck and sealed perfectly.
Deep fry on medium gas for 1-2 minutes and take it out from oil . You have to refry it at the time of serving . You can store them with one fry in freezer .
REFRY AND SERVE THEM WITH ANY SAUCE AND CHUTNEY
