QUICK SHAHI PANEER
Paneer is a delight for vegetarians . Kids especially loves it . This shahi paneer recipe can be cooked in just 10 minutes only . If some unexpected guest has arrived and you have paneer at home then this vegetable is one option which can be made in no time. Cashewnuts or makhane can be found in most of the house holds . Shahi paneer is very tasty also . No need of any cream to pour over it .
COOKING TIME 15 minutes SERVES 4
INGREDIENTS
Paneer 200 gm
Cashew nuts 1/2 cup
Tomato 3 , green chilli 1 , salt , cummin seeds 1/2 tsp . haldi 1/2 tsp , red chilli pwd 1/2 tsp , dhaniya pwd 1 tsp , ghee 1 tbs , water
METHOD
Soak cashew nuts in water for 5 -10 minutes . You can use 1/2 cup makhana instead of cashew nuts .
Make a paste in mixie with 3 tomatoes cut in 4 pieces each , 1 green chilli and soaked cashew nuts or soaked makhana without adding water .
Take a pan and drop 1tbs ghee . When it is hot , add cummin seeds . When they crackle add haldi and red chilli pwd .
After 2 minutes mix paste of tomato , cashewnuts and green chilli . Roast it for 5-7 minutes on medium flame till it starts leaving the pan . Add 1/2 glass water and boil.
Add 1/2 glass water more if it is thick . Boil and add paneer cut in square or triangle shape . Again give it a boil .
If it is thick while serving add little milk instead of water . Sprinkle 1 tsp corriander leaves , it is optional . If you want the gravy to be slightly sweet , add 1tsp sugar .
