CABBAGE VADA / CHANA DALA MASALA VADA WITH CABBAGE
Cabbage vada are a kind of vada that are made with either mix dals or only with urad dal or chana dal and cabbage being the main ingredient used . Cabbage vada can be made by adding cabbage to the medu vada batter . This recipe of mine is made with chana dal and little urad dal .They come out very crispy and tasty . This recipe can be served as a simple tea time snack also . As vada are most popular recipe in South India . We can bring in lots of variations in these vadas . Cabbaga tastes similar to medu vada . You may never know it has cabbage. Cabbage tastes similar to onion in this vada . The preparation is also same as the medhu vadai , but only that instead of onion , we add cabbage .

INGREDIENTS
Chana dal 3/4 cup
Urad dal 1/4 cup
Cabbage 2 cups finely cut
Ginger 1 ' , green chilly 2 , kadi pata 6-7
Salt , red chilli pwd 1/2 tsp , garam masala 1/2 tsp [ spices as per taste ] , oil for frying
