Puri stuffed with matar is a tasty delight. You can use both frozen or fresh peas for stuffing .It tastes awesome with tomato longi but otherwise also you can enjoy it with any vegetable .
COOKING TIME 30 minutes SERVES 4
INGREDIENTS
Peas [ matar ] 1cup , ginger , green chilli 2 , salt , dhaniya pwd , red chilli pwd
Maida 1 cup , suji 1/4 cup , oil 1/4 cup , salt , water
METHOD
Take 1 cup peas [ frozen or fresh ] . Mash them in mixie without water with ginger and 2 green chilli .
Roast the mashed peas in non stick pan with salt , red chilli pwd and dhaniya pwd for 7-8 minutes till peas are totally dry .
Make a dough with 1 cup maida , 1/4 cup suji , 1/4 cup oil , salt and water. Keep aside for 15 minutes . Dough should not be hard neither too soft .
For making puri , take roti size dough , roll it 3' round , keep 1 tsp roasted matar in the centre and coverit from all the sides .
Now roll again to make puri size, not pressing hard so that peas do not come out while rolling .
Deep fry it in oil in kadai till crisp .
