This is a healthier form of vada pao .relish colourful vada pao.Everybody must have eaten desi vada pao,but lal vada pao is tastier and reddish maroon in colour.It is very easy to make and very different and presentable too.

INGREDIANTS
Potato 3 medium size
Basan 3Tbs
Chukandar 1 medium size
Salt 1 tsp for potato and 1tsp for besan
Garlic [optional] 3cloves
Pomegranate [optional ] half cup
Water ½ cup
METHOD
1 Boil potatoes ,peel them and mash them.
2 Pressure cook chukander [beetroot] only for 1 whistle only.Cool and grate it.,
3 Now if you want to add garlic,cut garlic cloves in very small pieces.
4 Heat 1 tsp oil and fry garlic in it. Add mashed potato in it with 1 tsp salt
5 Add grated chukander in it.The colour of potato will turn red or maroon.
6 Make round balls with the mixture.[optionally pomegranate can be added]
7 Make thick mixture of besan with half cup water and 1 tsp salt.
8 Dip balls one by one in besan mixture and deep fry.
Serve with any chatni or keep them between Pao cut in half and relish.
