It is colourful ,tasty and filling snack . Carrot , beans , cabbage , bell pepper add to its flavour .It is quick and healthy too as it is steamed . Kids love it .
COOKING TIME 1/2 hour SERVES 4
INGREDIENTS
Suji 1 cup
Curd 1/2 cup
Salt per taste , eno 1 tsp , Beans 1/2 cup , carrot 1/2 cup , bell pepper 1/2 cup , cabbage 1/2 cup , onion 1 , tomato 2 , sugar 1 tsp , lemon juice 1/2 , sarson 1 tsp
METHOD
- Cut all vegetables lenghwise . Mix suji ,curd ,salt and little water to make batter . Leave it for 15 minutes . After15 minutes add little water more if it has become thick . The batter should be like besan pakora .
- Add eno , grease the cocktail idly mold and put 1 tsp in each mold . Steam in microwave if it is a microwave idly stand or on gas if it is to be steamed on gas . Both take only 2 minutes to steam .
- Take out from the stand after 5-7 minutes . [ you can get cocktail idly stand from amazon or from any utensil shop ]
- Put 1tbs oil in pan . When it is hot add 1/2 tsp sarson , add all the vegetables , putting onion first , saute for 2 minutes on high flame . Add tomato and salt . After 2 minutes add 1/2 glass water , sugar and lemon juice .
- Sim the gas for 5 minutes . the veggies would be crunchy . Switch off the gas and add idly and mix well with vegetables .
SERVE COCKTAIL IDLY WITH VEGETABLES
