PALAK IDLY [ VEDIO IS AT THE BOTTOM ]
Palak idly is different and very healthy . Only the colour is green otherwise it is more tasty than usual idly .In winters we get palak in good quantity and quality . This is a very nutritious and quick recipe of palak .
COOKING TIME 40 minutes
INGREDIENTS
Palak 250 gm
Corriander leaves 1 cup
Suji 1 cup
dahi 1/2 cup
Salt per taste , Eno 1 tsp , green chilly 1-2 , sarson 1/2 tsp , white urad dal 1/2 tsp , kaju 1 tsp [ cut in small pieces] , oil 1 tbs
METHOD
- Boil palak in open pan for 3-4 minutes . Grind it to paste with corriander leaves and green chilli in mixie .
- Mix suji ,dahi ,salt and palak paste . Add little water if it is thick . Leave it for 20 minutes .
- Make a tadka of sarson ,urad dal and cashew nuts in 1 tbs oil and mix with suji palak mixture .
- Take out idly stand [ you can buy from amazon or any utensil shop ] .Coat the sections of stand with oil .
- Add eno to the mixture and pour in idly stand and keep the stand on high flame .
- After 8 minutes check with a fork or knife , if it comes out clean from cooked idly then idly are done .Switch off the gas and leave idly in stand for 10 minutes .
- After 10 minutes take out stands and with the help of knife take out all the idly .
IDLY ARE READY TO SERVE WITH ANY CHUTNEY OR SAUCE
