Moong fali ki patti or peanut chikki is a filling , tasty and crispy snack . Especially in winters when you get good quality peanuts to munch . You can buy peanuts from any thelawallah or any shop . Only thing is you don't buy any kacchi moong fali. It doesn't take long to make this recipe .
COOKING TIME 25 minutes SERVES 6
INGREDIENTS
Peanuts 1 cup
Sugar 1 cup , ghee 1tsp
METHOD
- Take 1 cup peanuts and roast them for 2-3 minutes on slow gas .
- Take off the inner skin from peanutes and roll them with rolling pin to break them in half .
- Coat rolling pin and the surface of kitchen top with the ghee . [ surface should be 12 ' round ]
- Heat 1 cup sugar in a non stick pan on slow gas . It melts in 5-7 minutes . When it is fully melted add peanutes after switching off the gas . Mix the peanutes with melted sugar .
- Drop it on the ghee coated surface and roll with ghee coated rolling pin . Spread it with rolling pin and make it thin .
- After 5 minutes try to move the spreaded chikki . Let it cool for 10 minutes . Pick it up and break it into medium pieces .
STORE IN A JAR AND RELISH THE PEANUT CHIKKI
