FORMINHAS CANAPE
Forminhas is a Goan recipe of canapes filled with vegetables which is generally served in Goan weddings and parties . We generally fill canape with chat ingredients but this is different and simple .

INGREDIENTS
Canape 12-15
Mayonnese 1/2 cup
Peas 1/2 cup , carrot 1/2 cup [ peas and carrot parboiled,] potato 1 boiled , apple 1/2 cup , [ pineapple optional ] , salt , pepper
METHOD
- Buy canape packet from the market . It is not expensive .
- Parboil peas and carrot in open pan for 10 minutes . Carrot should be cut in small cube shape . Boil potato and cut in cube shape
- Cut apple also in small cube shape with the skin . You can peel the apple and then cut . It is your choice .
- Take 1/2 cup mayonnese . If it is very thick add 1 tbs milk . Mix salt and pepper in it .
- Add parboil peas , carrot ,boiled potato and apple in mayonnese and mix well .If you want to add pineapple you can add tinned pineapple . Keep in fridge till the time of serving .
- Now fill in the canapes and serve immediately as canapes become soft after 10 minutes of filling .
- To keep crispiness of the canapes little longer , either bake them for 5-7 minutes in preheated oven or fry them for just 1/2 minute in hot oil .Overfrying and overbaking can blacken them and will make canape bitter .
- Adding mayonnese is according to your taste , if you want more creamy add more mayonnese . You can sprinkle little cheese grated over the filling .
