MOOLI KOFTA [ vedio is at the bottom ]
Seasonal mooli can be eaten raw with chat masala and lemon juice . But we can make tasty kofta with it too to make a different dish . It is quick and healthy also .
COOKING TIME 1/2 hour SERVES 4
INGREDIENTS
For kofta
Mooli [Radish ] 2 cups grated
Besan 2 tbs
Bread slice 1 , Potato 1/2 boiled , salt , red chilli powder , oil for frying
For gravy tomato 3 , onion 1 , garlic cloves 3 , salt , red chilli powder , haldi , corriander powder , cummin seeds
METHOD
- For kofta , mix mooli grated , besan , bread slice , 1/2 boiled potato , salt and red chilli powder . Make dough by mixing all .
- With the dough make raw kofta shape either round or oval . Spare 1 kofta raw aside for the gravy thickening . Deep fry on medium gas. Leave 1 kofta without frying to mix in the gravy .
- For gravy make puree of tomato , onion and garlic in mixie. [ If you don't want to use onion garlic , mix tomato with 1/2 cup curd and make puree in the mixie .
- In 1 tbs hot oil , add 1 tsp cummin seeds , add haldi and red chilli powder . Mix tomato ,onion , garlic paste and fry on high flame . After 3-4 minutes add raw kofta and mix it well .
- Add 1/2 cup of water and boil . If it is thick add more water and boil for 2 more minutes . Gravy is ready .
- If you don't want to use onion garlic , make gravy with tomato and curd the same way , adding same masalas and raw kofta to the gravy to thicken it .
