BESAN KACHORI [ vedio is at the bottom ]
Besan kachori is a crispy , tasty, tea time snack . It can be stored for more than a week and in travelling you can keep it as a homemade food which can be eaten with aloo ki sabji or achar . In the morning and evening time you can relish it with tea .
COOKING TIME 45 minutes SERVES 5
INGREDIENTS
Besan 2 tbs , sait , red chilli powder 1/2 tsp , dhaniya powder 1 tsp, [ pisi saunf , garam masala optional ]
Maida 1 cup , oil 1/4 cup , water 1/4 cup , salt 1tsp
METHOD
- In 1 tbs oil roast besan on slow gas for 5 minutes . Add all the masalas , roast for 2 more minutes and switch off the gas .
- Add 2 tbs water and mix well . The besan masala is ready .
- Mix 1/4 cup oil to the 1 cup maida with salt . Mix it well for 2-3 minutes till it becomes coarse . Add hot water slowly to make dough neither hard nor too soft .
- Make round small balls with the dough . Roll one by one 3' round . Coat the border of round with water and fill 3/4 tsp or 1/2 tsp of besan mixture by putting in the centre of round and covering it from all sides .
- Roll again each filling ball not pressing hard . The filling should not come out . It should be 3 ' round .
- Deep fry 7-8 at a time on slow gas for 20 -25 minutes , frying from both the sides by turning them upside down .
SERVE IT HOT WITH TEA AND STORE THE REST IN A JAR
