COCONUT LADOO
Today navratra has started .Now we will keep fast on some of the days. On fast day sometimes you want to eat non cereal food . Coconut ladoo is the best option at that time. It is filling and very yummy too. Sometimes you want to use fresh coconut then also this recipe is the best option and it is very easy too. After making fresh ladoo keep in the fridge as milk is used in making these ladoos. Consume the ladoo within 5-6 days. Don't keep them without fridge.
TIME TAKEN 45 minutes
INGREDIENTS
Fresh coconut 1 [peeled and grated ]
Full cream milk 1 kg
Sugar 1/2 cup [as need ]
METHOD
- Boil the milk in broad pan .Add grated coconut in it . Keep stirring it so that it doesn't stick at the bottom of pan.
- Leave it for 10 minutes on slow flame , the boiling milk should not come out of the pan.
- When it has thickened little , after10 minutes,keep the gas on medium. Stir it in intervals.
- It takes 30 -35 minutes when the milk is thickened with grated coconut .Add sugar and keep stirring on medium flame.
- After 7-10 minutes sugar is fully absorbed in coconut milk. It becomes little dry. Switch off the gas and cool it in another pan.
- When it is medium hot or you can touch it put some ghee or plain water on your hands and make ladoo by pressing hard.
- Keep them in fridge and consume them within 4-5 days . Don't keep them outside .
