Matar Methi Appe Recipe / Healthy Appe with matar and Methi
Winter has started . Seasonal green vegetables palak , methi , sarson , mooli and more are plenty in the market . So we should consume these vegetables in our daily food menu . Appe recipes consumes very less oil and time to cook . Today this recipe is tasty quick and filled with matar and methi . Let's start and enjoy the tasty recipe in no time .
COOKING TIME 25 minutes SERVES 5
INGREDIENTS
Matar 1 cup peeled
Methi 1 cup [washed and cut ]
Curd 1/2 cup
Suji 1 cup
Besan 1/4 cup
Oil 2 tbs
salt as per taste , red chilly pwd 1/2 tsp , haldi 1/2 tsp , ginger chilly paste [ you can crush 1 greenchilly and 1' ginger ]
chat masala 1/2 tsp optional , eno 1 packet , oil for coating
METHOD OF MAKING QUICK AND TASTY MATAR METHI APPE
wash and cut methi leaves .
crush peas in the blender coarsely without any water .
take a big bowl .
put 1 cup suji and 1/4 cup besan .
add 1/2 cup curd in it .
add salt , red chilly pwd , chat masala .
add methi and crushed matar
add everything .
add haldi also .
add 2 tbs oil also .
add little water to make thick batter .
keep aside for 10 minutes .
brush appe pan with oil .
put 1 packet eno in the batter . put 1 tsp water over eno .
mix every thing .
fill every appe cup with the batter .
put appe pan on low gas and cover .
after 5 -6 minutes , check if there borders are little done and the top surface is little hard .
if so brush oil on top surface and check if they are done at the bottom , if so then turn upside down one by one .
cover again and cook on low gas .
after 5-6 minutes they will be done .
take out and enjoy with green chutney and sweet chutney .
STEP BY STEP OF MAKING TASTY HEALTHY GREEN VEGGIE MATAR METHI APPE
cut and wash 1 cup methi leaves .
crush matar coarsely in the blender without water .
take a big bowl , put 1 cup suji and 1/4 cup besan .
add 1/2 cup curd also .
add salt , red chilly pwd , chat masala and haldi .
mix methi and coarsely ground matar also .
mix every thing ,
add 2 tbs oil and little water to make thick batter .
keep aside for 10 minutes .
brush or coat appe pan with oil .
add 1packet eno in the batter after 10 minutes .
drop 1tsp water on eno .
mix everything .
drop batter in each mould of appe .
keep appe pan on low gas covered .
after 5-7 minutes check if the top surface is little hard .
brush top surface with oil and turn one by one upside down .
cover for 5-6 minutes more .
check if they are done .
take out and enjoy with green chutney and sweet chutney .
