CHILLY PANEER/CHINESE CHILLY PANEER
Chilly paneer is a popular Indo chinese starter which is quick to make and it is yummy too. With chilli sauce it is little spicy . It can be enjoyed as a snack or full meal with fried rice and noodles .This recipe is simple and easy for beginners too as ready made paneer is coated with corn starch and deep fried .The gravy is equally easy ,as garlic , capsicum and spring onion are sauted . then soya sauce is added to make the sauce You can add chilly sauce to mae it more spicy . Vinegar can be added too. A little corn starch slurry is added to thicken the gravy and lastly fried paneer cubed are added the chilly sauce .Spices and chilly can be added as per taste .

INGREDIENTS
PANEER 300 grams
Corn flour 4 tbs [ or 2 tbs corn flour and 2 tbs maida ]
Onion 1 [ cut in medium pieces ]
Capsicum green , red or yellow 1/2 cup cut in medium pieces
garlic 1 tbs , ginger 1 tsp , salt , 1/2 tsp red chilli pwd
Soya sauce 2 tbs
Red chilly or schezwan sauce 1 tbs
Spring onion
METHOD/ HOW TO MAKE CHILLY PANEER
Cut paneer in cubes . Sprinkle salt and 1/2 tsp red chlli pwd. Coat them with corn flour or both . Sprinkle 1-2 tbs water over them so that they are coated well
Deep fry the coated paneer cubes in oil .
Heat 2 tbs oil and put 1tbs garlic and 1 tsp ginger . Roast for a minute . Add 1 onion and 1/2 cup bell peppers cut in medium pieces . It is not necessary to take coloured bell peppers , even only green bell pepper can be taken . Roast for 2 minutes.
Put 1/2 tsp red chilli pwd in 1/3 cup water .
After roasting for 2 minutes add the 1/3 cup chilli mixed water .
Mix 2 tbs soya sauce .
Add 1tbs tomato sauce. Mix 1 tsp sugar .
After 2 minutes add 1/2 cup water and let it boil .
Mix 1tbs green onion .
Mix 1/2 tsp cornflour in 1/3 cup waterand add it to the sauce .boil it , the gravy will be little thick
Mix fried paneer cubes to the sauce .
Sprinkle green onion and serve .
STEP BY STEP MAKING OF CHILLY PANEER
Cut paneer in cubes and sprinkle salt and 1/2 tsp red chilli pwd .
Coat them with corn flour or maida . Add 1-2 tsp water to the coated paneer , so that they are coated well .
Deep fry the coated paneer cubes till golden brown .
Mix 1/2 tsp redchilli pwd in 1/3 cup water .
Cut onion and bell peppers in medium size . Cut garlic and ginger in small pieces .
In a kadai put 2 tbs oil , when it is hot add ginger and garlic . Roast them for 1 minute on high flame .
Add onion and bell peppers and again roast for 2 minutes .
Add 1/2tsp red chili mixed in water. Boil it .
Add 2 tbs soya sauce and 1tbs tomato sauce . Boil them .
Add 1 tsp sugar , little salt [as soya sauce has salt ] . Add 1/2 cup water and boil it .
Mix 1 tbs green onion . Add 1/2 tsp corn flourmixed in 1/3 cup water and mix it to the gravy so that gravy becomes little thick .
Add fried paneer cubes and mix well . Sprinkle green onion and serve .
