HUMMUS TOAST [ vedio is at the bottom ]
Hummus is a nutritious mid eastern recipe which can be put in pita bread and on bread slice or on falafel . Kids love to take for school lunch .
COOKING TIME 45 MINUTES [ 12 hours for soaking ]
INGREDIENTS
Kabuli chana 1 cup
Sesame seeds 2 tbs , garlic 8-9 cloves , olive oil 2 tbs , lemon juice , salt
METHOD
- Soak 1 cup kabuli chana overnight . Boil after soaking in pressure cooker .
- Make paste of boiled kabuli chana , garlic cloves and 2 tbs sesame seeds in mixie . Add very little water to make paste.
- Take out from mixie . You can store it in freezer . You can take out at the time of serving , defrost it .
- Add olive oil , salt and lemon juice . It is ready to apply .
- Roast bread slices with butter on non stick tawa . Spread hummus on them . You can put tomato, cheese and cucumber in the centre of the toast . It is optional .
