BROCCOLI SOUP [vedio is at the bottom ]
This soup is different and tasty . It does not need too many ingredients . It is very healthy and very nutritious too . As tomato soup is red , this is green in colour . In the winter season when you get good quality of broccoli you can easily make it in no time .
COOKING TIME 40 minutes SERVES 4
INGREDIENTS
Broccoli 1
Salt per taste , garlic 4 cloves
For white gravy Butter 1 tsp , maida flour 1 tsp , milk 1 cup , cheese 1tsp
METHOD
- Cut broccoli in pieces with its stem . Boil it with garlic, salt and 1/2 glass water . After 1 whistle in pressure cooker switch off the gas . Cool it and make paste in mixie . Sieve through strainer .
- To make white sauce , melt 1tsp butter , add 1tsp flour and raost on sim gas . In 1 minutes it is slight brown , switch off the gas and add 1 cup milk with salt . Keep it on slow gas and stir it vigorously to mix milk with flour without lumps .
- It gets thick in 2 minutes , switch off the gas .
- Add the white sauce to the soup .Sprinkle grated cheese over hot soup while serving .
