DHOKLA IDLY
This recipe is very tasty and it has some gujrati flavour of dhokla making . It is quite easy too. By looking at it you will think that it will take quite a long time but it doesn't take much time.If the fillimg is made 1-2 days in advance it takes only 1/2 hour.

TIME TAKEN 45 minutes
FILLING
Carrot 1 [ cut in small pieces ]
Beans 8-10 [cut in small pieces ]
Capsicum 1 [cut in small pieces ]
Onion 1 [optitional ] [ cut in small pieces ]
Salt 1 tsp degi or red chilli powder 1/2 tsp tomato sauce 2 tbs oil 1tbs water 2 tbs bread 1/2
DHOKLA
Besan 1 cup
Suji 1/2 cup
Curd 3/4 cup
Salt 1 tsp sugar 1 tsp oil 1tsp eno 1tsp [ sarson , kadi pata , hari mirch for tempering ]
METHOD
- At first make the vegetable . Put oil in pan and saute onion for 2 minutes. Add carrot ,beans and capsicum .
- Cook for 2 minutes, put little water and cover. they should be crunchy. Add 2 tbs tomato sauce .
- Mix besan ,suji ,curd , salt, sugar ,1 tsp oil in a bowl . Add little water to make pakora type batter. Leave it for 20 minutes.
- Cut bread slices in round shape with a katori
- Take out idly stand .Coat each section with oil. Keep round slice on each section .Use 1 section at a time .
- Mix 1 tsp eno in besan , suji mixture. Put some water if it is thick.
- Put vegetable in the center of each slice. Pour and cover the veggies with bread with besan ,suji mixture.
- Steam for 7 minutes. Do not keep any other section on top of this section as dhokla can touch the above section when done.
- Switch off the gas. After 5 minutes take out the section with 4 dhokla idly'
- Take them out with a knife'.It will come out easily. Shape them by cutting extra batter around bread.
- Cut each idly in half . Make tempering with sarson ,kadi pata and green chilli in 1t bs oil and pour on idlies .
SERVE BREAD DHOKLA IDLY. NO CHATNI NEEDED.
