TASTY BROCCOLI
Broccoli is a green vegetable that resembles a miniature tree .It is closely related to cabbage , cauli flower ,kale , Brussels sprouts - all edible plants collectively referred to as cruciferous vegetables . Broccoli is a nutritional powerhouse full of vitamins , minerals , fiber and anti oxidant vegetable . It is a nutrient rich vegetable that may enhance your health in a variety of ways , such as by reducing inflammation , improving blood sugar control , boosting immunity and promoting heart health . So we must include broccoli in our meals . You can make salad , roast broccoli or cook like any other veg . This recipe of mine is very simple ,easy and quick to make so you can make any time of the day and enjoy the healthy filling food .
COOKING TIME 20 minutes SERVES 4
INGREDIENTS
Broccoli 1 bunch medium size
cheese 1/2 cup grated
Salt [very little ], black pepper a pinch , oil 1tsp
METHOD
Take medium size broccoli and cut the florets and wash it .
In a pan , put 1tsp oil and when it is hot put broocoli florets and sprinkle very light salt [ you can skip salt as cheese has salt ] .
Drop 2 tbs water and cover it on slow gas .
After 7-8 minutes when the broccoli is half done . It becomes crunchy . You can cook for 5 more minutes if you want to soften the florets .
Sprinkle 1/2 cup grated cheese and cover again for 2 minutes .
Switch off the gas and sprinkle black pepper .
Broccoli is ready .You can sprinkle pinch of oregano also .

STEP BY STEP OF MAKING AND COOKING BROCCOLI
Take a medium size broccoli , about 300-400 grams in weight . Cut the florets and wash them .
In a pan put 1tsp oil and when it is hot add broccoli florets . Mix very little salt or you can skip the salt as cheese has lots of salt .
Put 2tbs water and cover it on sim gas .
After 7-8 minutes check if is lightly soft , if it is not, cover again for 5 minutes .
When it is crunchy add grated cheese and cover again for 2 minutes . [ If you want to soften the broccoli more do not add cheese till it has softened . After it has been softened then only add cheese ]
After covering for 2 minutes with cheese , it is cooked . Sprinkle pinch of black pepper and ore gano .
Healthy broccoli is ready . You can relish it as a snack with tea or with lunch or dinner .
