EGGLESS MARBLE CAKE / CHOCOLATE MARBLE CAKE
Eggless chocolata cake is simply tasty , presentable and made with our day to day ingredients . the two colours and stripes looks really attractive and appealing . Most of the cakes are made with just one flavour cake batter but this recipe is made with 2 cake batters, one part of the batter with cocoa and one plain . Basically 2 cake batter should be poured carefully so that 2 colours are visible and the should not be neither thick or thin . The method of pouring is not difficult and the cake comes out delicious and good to look at . No butter or egg is used in cooking this marble cake .
COOKING TIME 30 minutes SERVES 5
INGREDIENTS
Maida 1 cup
cocoa 1 tbs
Oil 1/4 cup
Curd 1/2 cup
Sugar 1/2 cup [ pisi sugar ]
vanilla essence 1/2 tsp
Milk powder 1/4 cup
Baking powder 1 tsp
baking soda 1/4 tsp , milk 3 tbs
METHOD TO MAKE MARBLE CAKE
- In a bowl put 1/4 cup oil , add 1/2 cup curd [ it should be on room tempererature ] and 1/2 cup pisi sugar . Mix well .
Add 1/2 tsp vanilla essence and again mix well .
- Add 1cup maida and 1/4 cup milk powder . Mix 1 tsp baking powder and 1/4 tsp baking soda [ maida , baking powder and baking soda , seive through chalni ]
- Add 2 tbs milk .Mix everything well .
- Make 2 equal parts of the batter.
- Add 1 tbs cocoa powder to the 1 part and keep the second part plain.
- Mix 2 tbs milk to the cocoa batter as it becomes little thick after adding cocoa powder . You can add 1tbs milk to the plain part also if it is thick .
- Coat the cake mould with 1 tbs oil and then sprinkle 1 tbs maida powder on all sides and then dust it out .
- Preheat oven for 5-7 minutes on 180 degrees .
- Start making design with the 2 parts of cake batter ,
- First pour 2 tbs of plain batter in the centre of the mould , then pour 2 tbs with the cocoa mix batter .
- Again pour plain batter in the centre of cocoa batter , then cocoa batter . Do alternatively to make the circular design . The batter should not be thick or very thin .
- When both the batters are finished . take a toothpick and mark a line from the centre of batter to the end point of the mould batter . Wipe the toothpick with a cloth , again make line from centre to the mould, Make 9- 10 lines to make design .
- Now the design of double colour is made .
- Bake for 25 minutes on 180 degrees . All the ovens are different so the time may differ .
- Check with a toothpick if it done from inside .
- Roll a knife in the corners of the baked cake so that the sides are loosened and tap it from the back .
- Take out carefully .
