Chocolate Spiral Bun / Tasty and Easy Bun with layer of Chocolate flavour
Baking and making a bun is easy and fun to cook . These buns look pretty good as chocolate spiral line in bun makes the bun look attractive . I have used yeast for the first time and in the winters it takes much longer time in rising the dough at least 6-7 hours or over night . So you have to be patient in winters but the result is good . So let ' s start chocolate spiral bun recipe .
COOKING TIME 30 minutes [ 6-7 hours for rising of the dough ] SERVES 5
INGREDIENTS
Maida 2 cups
Sugar 1/4 cup
Yeast 2 tsp
Milk 3/4 cup warm
Oil 2 tbs salt 1/2 tsp
Cocoa powder 2 tbs
METHOD OF MAKING SPIRAL CHOCOLATE BUN
take a bowl and put 1/4 cup sugar .
add 3/4 cup hot or warm milk . whisk with whisker or spoon .
add 2 tsp dry yeast , whisk again and cover with a cling wrap or aluminium foil for 15 minutes .
after 15 minutes add 2 cups maida and 1/2 tsp salt .
make a dough .
add 2 tbs oil and knead again for 2 minutes .
the dough will be sticky .
make 2 equal parts of the dough .
mix 2 tbs cocoa pwd in one part .
now one part will be chocolate brown .
cover each separately with cling wrap or aluminium foil .
keep them covered in some hot place for 6-7 hours so that the dough rises .
after 6-7 hours when the dough rises , roll each round dough thin and oval shape .
coat milk on the white layer dough .
spread the chocolate oval dough over milk spread white dough [ spread the chocolate dough by stretching with the hand ]
cut the oval shape into half lenghwise .
spread milk on chocolate layer.
spread nuts or tutti frutti over the milk spread chocolate dough .
start rolling from the one side lenghwise .
roll both the half cut rolls lenghwise .
cut each part into 2 inches sections
you can see the chocolate spiral shape .
preheat oven for 10 minutes .
spread oil on the baking tray . spread butter paper on the baking tray .
again spread oil over the butter paper .
keep each roll over butter paper little distance apart .[ keep them for 10 minutes ]
brush each roll with milk after 10 minutes .
bake for 15 -20 minutes [ every oven is different ]
check if the buns are little reddish on the corners . they are increased in size also .
take out and enjoy with butter or plain as they are .
they can be kept fresh for 3-4 days .
you can put butter on top and warm them in the microwave . and relish .
STEP BY STEP OF MAKING CHOCOLATE SPIRAL BUN
take a bowl and put 1/4 cup sugar .
add 3/4 cup warm milk and mix .
add 2 tsp dry yeast and again mix with whisker .keep it covered with a cling wrap or aluminium foil for 15 minutes .

knead well so that cocoa pwd is mixed with the dough . now there is chocolate dough and white dough
keep both the dough covered with cling wrap or aluminium foil .
keep them over night or for 6-7 hours in the winter [ in summer it takes less time to rise ]
both the doughs becomes almost double .
take the white dough and roll it round little oval shape and thin [ you can use dry flour to roll them ]
coat milk on the white dough .
roll brown dough in the same shape .
put brown rolled dough over milk coated white round dough .[ you can stretch with your hand to cover ]
coat again with the milk .
sprinkle small pieces of dry fruits or tutti frutti over it .
divide into 2 parts lenghwise .
start rolling lenghwise both the parts separately .
cut 2' sections of each part .
roll them round with the hand . you can see the chocolate spiral shape .
preheat oven for 10 minutes on 180 '.
put butter paper on the baking tray and coat with the oil .
keep buns little distance apart to bake . coat them with the milk and leave for 10 minutes .
now after 10 minutes bake for 15 - 20 minutes [ every oven is different ]
corners of the bun become reddish and big in size .
take out and enjoy with a cup of tea .
you can keep them fresh for 4-5 days . you can put butter in them , butter makes them more tastier .
