METHI MATAR MALAI [ vedio is at the bottom ]
Methi matar malai is a tasty , white gravy vegetable . It can be made in a very short time . In winters we get good variety of methi and matar . So you can make this dish easily and enjoy with roti , parantha and nan .
COOKING TIME 1/2 hour SERVES 4
INGREDIENTS
Methi 1 cup [washed and cut ]
Peas 1 cup [ boiled ]
Cream 1/2 cup milk 3/4 cup
Sesame seeds white or cashewnuts 2 tbs , onion 1 , garlic 3 cloves , ginger , green chilli 1 , salt , ghee 1 tbs
METHOD
Make paste of sesame seeds white [ or cashew nuts ] , onion , garlic , ginger and green chilli in mixie, adding little water .
If you don't want to use onion ,garlic , you can make the paste without them , adding other same items .
Boil peas . In a pan heat 1tbs ghee , when it is hot add the paste, fry it for 3-4 minutes ,
Add 1/2 cup milk and 1cup methi leaves . After boiling for 2-3 minutes add salt and 1/3 cup milk more .
Add 1/2 cup water and boil for 2 minutes .
Add boiled peas . Boil for 2 more minutes . Add 1/2 cup cream and again boil for 1 minute .
MATAR METHI MALAI IS READY TO SERVE
