MASALA PHOOL MAKHANE
Phool makhana are full of protien and nutrition . They are filling food for the fast days . KIds especially like them with the masala as it is good crisp munching snack for them . It is a very easy recipe but it makes phool makhane awesome in taste . You can make chat also by mixing onion , tomato , corriander leaves . Otherwise it is a tasty , crunchy and crisp snack with tea time .
COOKING TIME 15 minutes
INGREDIENTS
Phool makhana 2 cups
Ghee or oil 1 tbs , red chilli pwd or kashmiri red chilli pwd 1/2 tsp , roasted cummin seeds pwd 1/2 tsp , black salt 1/2 tsp . salt as per taste , chat masala 1/2 [ masala can be put as per taste ]
METHOD
Roast phool makhane on slow gas in a kadai for 10 minutes . You don't have to add any oil or ghee while roasting . After 10 minutes check whether they are very hard and crisp from inside , if not roast more . Keep aside .
Put 1 tbs ghee or oil in kadai , when it is hot add black salt , roasted cummin seeds pwd , red chilli or kashmiri red chilli pwd and plain salt according to your taste.
When the masalas starts little bubbling [ not burning ] , Add roasted phool makhane and mix well with masalas on slow gas.
After 2-3 minutes switch off the gas . Now you can add 1 tsp chat masala or as per taste.
Taste it if you want more , add according to your taste . Now cool them . They remain crisp and crunchy for 8- 10 day
