Homemade nankhatai is tasty , easy and quick to make. Kids love it and even we used to like it in our school going days . Now a days also we search for good nankhatai and sometimes we like the taste of thelawala who bakes on his small tandoor .
COOKING TIME 40 minutes SERVES 6
INGREDIENTS
Maida flour 2 cup
Wheat flour 1/2 cup
Suji or besan 1/2 cup
Sugar 1 cup [ pisi ]
Oil or ghee 1 cup
Soda 1 tsp
METHOD
- Mix maida flour , wheat flour and suji . Add soda and mix it very well .
- Add sugar and oil or ghee to the mixture and try to make dough . It won't knead like proper dough but it will be loose dough .
- Take a baking tray and coat it with little oil . Pick very small dough mix and make round flat shape by pressing the dough , make a dip in the centre of round peda type shape with a finger tip and keep on the baking tray .
- Make similar small peda type shape of remaining dough and keep them at a little distance from each other so that they get space to expand .
- Preheat the oven and set the temperature on 170 degree . Keep the tray in the oven and bake for 20 -25 minutes .
- You can check after20 minutes as every oven is different .
- After taking out from oven , let it remain in the tray for 5-7 minutes . Cool and store them .[ I have taken half ingredients in the vedio ]
