CHUKANDER BURGER [ vedio is at the bottom ]
Chukander [beetroot ] is full of protien and nutrition . It should be consumed on the daily basis in our meal either raw as salad or cooked in making soup or vegetable. Doctors recommend it as it is the best in making blood in our body . Beetroot tikki is very tasty and it makes the burgers awesome .
COOKING TIME 30minutes SERVES 4
INGREDIENTS
Chukander 2 medium
Carrot 2
Suji 1/2 cup , onion 1 , garlic 1 tsp , green chilli 1 , salt , red chilli pwd 1/2 tsp , oil for roasting
METHOD
- Grate chukander [ beetroot ] and carrots . Squeeze out the water from them .
- In a non stick pan , put 1 tbs oil , when it is hot add onion cut in not very pieces but moderate size and 1 tsp garlic cut in small pieces, green chilli 1 cut in small pieces .
- After 2 minutes add grated and squeezed 2 carrot and 2 chukander in the pan . Mix salt and red chilli pwd . Roast for 5-7 minutes and switch off the gas .
- Boil 2 cups of water and switch off the gas , Add 1/4 cup suji to the boiled water and mix well . Add the remaining 1/4 cup suji and it will become be like upma .
- Now mix this suji upma in the chukander carrot mixture . Mix well and add salt and red chilli pwd more according to your taste .
- Cool it and make round tikkis with this mixture . Roast the tikki on non stick tawa from both the sides till crisp .
- Roast burger bun cut in half with oil or butter on non stick tawa .
- For serving take lower side of bun , spread mayonnese on it , put 1 piece of tomato slice , keep 1 tikki , put 1piece each of tomato slice and onion slice . Keep 1 slice of cheese or cheese spread and cover from other half of the bun .
