POHA SALAD
Poha is nutritious , light and healthy food . It is one of the best option for light breakfast and snack .But this poha salad is not cooked and is served cold . You can add veggies of your choice . It is different and yummy .
COOKING TIME 30 minutes SERVES 5
INGREDIENTS
Poha 1.5 cup
Red and green bell pepper 3/4 cup each cut in small pieces
Tomato 2 cut in small pieces
Cabbage 1/2 cup cut in small pieces
Potato 1/2 boiled
Peanut 1/2 cup roasted in 1tsp oil , salt , lemon juice , sarson 1tp , kadi patta 7-8 , green chill 1 cut in small pieces , oil 1tbs
METHOD
Soak poha for 10 minutes according to the quality . Strain through strainer and keep in the strainer for 10-15 minutes . Roast peanuts in 1 tsp oil for 3-4 minutes on medium gas . Cut all veggies in small pieces .
Take a big bowl and put soaked poha in it . Add red , green bell peppers , tomato , cabbage all cut in small pieces in it . You can add yellow bell pepper too . Add roasted peanuts also . Mix well .
Sprinkle salt and lemon juice according to your taste .
Make a tadka of 1 tsp sarson , 1 cut in small pieces green chilli and 7 -8 kadi patta in 1tbs oil and pour over the poha salad .
You can add pomegranate also , it is optional .While serving you can sprinkle sev also , it is optional too
