MALAI KOFTA
Malai kofta is a very popular vegetarian dish . This dish is made either with paneer and potato or with veggies like bottle guard , mixed vegetables or raw banana. Koftas are served with rich , delicious and creamy gravy to which cream is added . Malai Kofta is a most sought after vegetarian Indian dish in restaurants . the combination of the kofta with the curry taste is awesome . There are many variations of the malai kofta recipe . In this recipe of mine gravy is made fron ground cashew paste , onion paste and tomato puree . [ you can skip onion if you do not use it ] . I have not used cream in this recipe , if you prefer you can garnish with cream .] The cashew nut paste , makes the curry creamy, so no need to add cream .You can make the curry with soaked makhane and cashew nuts both or only makhane or only cashew nuts . You can fill dry fruits and nuts in the paneer potato koftas .

INGREDIENTS
For the koftas
paneer 1 cup
potato 1 cup boiled
corn flour 3 tbs
bread slice 1-2
salt , red chilli pwd 1/2 tsp , zeera pwd 1/2 tsp, dhaniya pwd 1 tsp , oil for frying
For the gravy
onion 2 big
tomato 3
cashew nuts 12
salt , turmeric 1/2 tsp , red chilli pwd 1/2 tsp , dhaniya pwd 1tsp , kasuri methi 1tsp , sugar 1 tsp [ cream optional ]
METHOD / HOW TO MAKE MALAI KOFTA
For the kofta
Add salt as per taste, red chilli pwd 1/2 tsp , dhaniya pwd 1tsp , zeera pwd 1/2 tsp [ optional ]
