KALA CHANA KABAB
Kala chana kabab is a healthy vegetarian version of non veg awadhi dish .They are crisp ,succulent and tasty . Health watchers a yummy snack for you .Kala chana is a excellent source of manganese which enhance our overall immunity . It has high fiber , protien and iron . Good for diabetes . Prevent anaemia .These kala chana kabab teams up well with bread in a sandwich , with bun in a burger and pita bread too . It really tastes awesome in pita bread .I have not added onion but adding onion gives crunchy ness . I have made jain kababs so no onion garlic .
COOKING TIME 30 minutes [ overnight for soaking kala chana] SERVES 4
INGREDIENTS
Kala chana 1 cup
Besan 2 tbs , 1 potato boiled [ optional ] , salt , red chilli pwd 1/2 tsp , chat masala 1/2 tsp
METHOD
soak kala chana overnight and blend in mixie with little water . If you have leftover boiled kala chana , you can make paste in mixie with boiled chana too .
add 2 tbs besan and boiled grated potato . You can add bread crumbs of 1 bread slice with the besan . If you donot have besan mix bread crumbs of 2 slices in the paste .
add salt , red chilli pwd , chat masala . You can add 1green chilli also while making paste . You can add 1 onion cut in small pieces after making paste . I have made jain kababs without onion . Make shapes of the mixture .
you can keep in the fridge and roast them later .
heat a non stick tawa . Put 2 tbs oil . When it is hot put 2-3 kabab and roast from both the sides till golden brown .
SERVE TASTY HEALTHY KALA CHANA KABAB WITH CHUTNEY OR SERVE IN A PITA BREAD
