POTATO SMILEY [ vedio is at the bottom ]
Homemade potato smiley are as tasty as the readymade one . You can freeze them too with a single fry . Kids love this crispy smiley face potato snack . It is perfect for birthday party . You can make 2-3 days in advance and freeze them and refry them on the day of serving .
COOKING TIME 1/2 hour SERVES 4
INGREDIENTS
Potato 2 boiled
Corn flour 4 tsp
Bread crumbs 1 cup , salt per taste , kashmiri red mirch 1/2 tsp [ little cheese grated is optional ]
METHOD
- Boil and grate the potatoes . Add corn flour and bread crumbs to the potatoes . Mix salt , pepper . [ add cheese grated ]
- Keep this potato dough in the fridge for at least 1/2 hour .
- After 1/2 hour take out from fridge , make small balls of the dough and flatten them with hand only .They should be in round shape . With a straw make two eyes by making two holes in potato round .
- With a butter knife make a smiling line .
- Deep fry them on medium gas . First fry for 2 minutes on slow gas , then on medium gas for 2 minutes more . When they are crisp take them out .
- If you want to freeze them , fry them for only 1 minute , then cool them , freeze them and refry them on the day of serving .
SERVE POTATO SMILEY WITH SAUCE OR ANY CHATNI
