GAJAR KA HALWA [ vedio is at the bottom ]
Gajar ka halwa is the most common sweet in winters . In weddings or in any occassion carrot halwa is always there on the dinner table with other sweet items . It is quick and easy to make . Even without ghee it tastes very good .
COOKING TIME 50 minutes SERVES 8
INGREDIANTS
Carrot 1 kg
Milk 1 kg [full cream ]
Sugar 1 cup , nuts per taste , ghee 1 tsp [optional ]
METHOD
- Grate carrots . Mix 1 kg milk with 1 kg grated carrot in a open pan on high flame .[ You can put 1/2 kg milk in carrots at first then when half milk is soaked , add rest of the 1/2 kg milk to the carrots .]
- Add sugar and boil again to soak sugar in carrot milk mixture . [ sugar is soaked in 5 minutes ]
- When there is no water of sugar left , add 1 tsp ghee and fry for 2 minutes . {ghee is optional ]
- Halwa is ready add nuts and keep in fridge . It can be kept in fridge for 4-5 days .
GAJAR HALWA IS READY TO SERVE
