KOTHIMBIR WADI [ vedio is at the bottom ]
It is a very tasty tea time marathi snack . It is made with besan and lots of corriander leaves. Rice powder can be added to besan too. You can steam it and keep in the fridge and fry it after 3-4 days when you want to serve or relish it . Crushed peanuts can be added to the mixture of besan and corriander also .
COOKING TIME 40 minutes SERVES 4
INGREDIENTS
Besan 1.5 cup
Corriander leaves 1.5 cup [ washed and cut ]
Green chilly 3 , ginger , salt , red chilli powder , sesame seeds 1 tbs , haldi , amchur powder, pinch of soda
METHOD
Crush green chilli and ginger in mixie . Mix salt, red chilli powder, sesame seeds to the besan . Add crushed green chilli and ginger paste also .
Make paste of besan mix by mixing water . It should be like pakora paste . Mix corriander leaves to the besan mix. Add haldi and amchur powder also . Mix pinch of soda .
Coat a plate with oil and pour the besan corriander mix in the plate and steam in steamer or in a kadai for 15-20 minutes .
To steam in a kadai , pour water in the kadai , keep a strainer or jali and put the plate to be steamed on the jali and cover the kadai .
After 15-20 minutes check by inserting a knife in the plate , if it comes out clean it is steamed .
Take out the plate from the steamer and cool it . Cut in square pieces . You can keep in the freezer and fry them after 3-4 days .
You can roast them in open pan with 2 tbs of oil from both the sides or deep fry them .
SERVE THE MARATHI SNACK KOTHIMBIR WADI WITH ANY CHATNI OR SAUCE
