TRICOLOUR BONDA
It is a very tasty and presentable snack . The three colours looks very colourful when the bonda is cut in half. All the things are at our kitchen . It looks difficult to make b dayut it is easy and takes not very long time . This snack is made with potato and bread , you can use any of white or brown bread . You can make this snack a day before and keep in the fridge and fry the next day and serve .
COOKING TIME 1/2 hour SERVES 2
INGREDIENTS
Bread 4 slices
Potato 2 big and boiled
Paneer 1 rectangle piece 3 inch by 3 inch , 1/3 inch thick
Green chutney 1tbs , sauce 1tbs , salt per taste , red chilli powder 1/2 tsp , oil for frying
METHOD
- Take a round katori and cut round pieces from 2 bread slices .
- Mash boiled potatoes and mix with 2 bread slices and leftover bread slices of round shape .
- Add 1 tbs water to the mix to make it like dough .
- Spread green chutney on 1 round slice and sauce on another round slice . Keep paneer rectangle piece in the centre of chutney slice and sauce slice . Cut corners of paneer to make it round size of bread slices .
- With the potato dough you have to cover the round slices like a big tikki . First make 2 tikkis thin for top and bottom of bonda then cover the sides with the remaining potato mix using little water .
- Both bread slices should be fully covered in round shape with potato mix .
- Heat the oil and when it is hot put the bonda carefully in the oil . Turn it around with the help of two frying ladels after 2 min.
- Carefully pick the bonda a little in oil with two ladels and fry it from bottom side of bonda . Fry from both the sides.
- When the bonda is dark brown from both the sides , take it out on tissue paper .
- Cut it with a knife from the centre of bonda . You will see the 3 colours of green , white and red .
