PLUM SQUASH
This deep purple fruit tastes even better when turned into liquid tasty squash or turned into chutney .Plum squash is a quick and easy cool summer drink which is very refreshing . Plum is rich in antioxidants , it improves and cares for your scars of the skin and the health of your heart .It relieves constipation , and good for bones .The fruit contains soluble fibre which helps in reducing cholesterole . Eating plum will keep cold and flu at bay by improving your immunity . Plums stop hair fall too . Its antioxidant power helps in preventing osteoporosis, cancer .diabetes and obesity . Plum is in same family as benefit rich cherries and peaches .So in summer you can enjoy this fruit raw or making squash which has beautiful reddish colour .
COOKING TIME 30 minutes
INGREDIENTS
Peaches 1/2 kg
sugar 1/2 cup , salt , black salt , roasted cummin powder
METHOD
Wash and boil peaches in pressure cooker with 1 glass of water . Switch the gas off after 3 -4 whistles .
When the pressure comes down , Open the cooker and put the peaches with the same boiled reddish water in open pan to cool down .
When it has cool down mash the plum and seive in a strainer by pressing so that only the peel and guthli is left in the strainer .
Add sugar . salt . black salt and roasted cummin seeds pwd . Spices and sugar you can add as per taste .
Add 1 glass water more water to make liquid consistency . Squash is ready . Add ice and corriander leaves while serving . You can add more water if it is thick .
You can keep in the fridge for few days .
