When we swim in an ocean, we come across water and water only. We do not sight anything else at all. The shore does not appear at a distance also. We do not have even a glimpse of shore too.Similarly life is a never ending story. Everybody’s life is a story. But every story is not the same. Every story differ the other. It is really astonishing how He is able to carve so many stories. Life began on this planet with Adam and Eve. Sea of humanity has always been expanding. The idiom “East is east west is west never the twain shall meet” is proving false . East and west are coming closer and closer. There is now unity in diversity. In fact, soon life may spread its wings on other planets too. Other planets are being explored for this purpose. When there is a calamity or catastrophe, we think that doomsday is fast approaching. It is a wrong notion. Calamity or catastrophe occurs only to check the growth of population. That is what Malthusian Theory of population states too. Calamity, catastrophe etc are common and they are bound to take place in this world at one time or another. Even World War I, World War II and atom bombs on the cities of Hiroshima and Nagasaki had only a temporary affect on life on this globe. Generation to generation life continues unperturbed. Of course, after every storm, generally always there is a lull invariably. Life does not run in same vein. Now every second thousands join the bandwagon and thousand leave it too. Our part in it concludes the moment we say adieu to this world. Our episode becomes a part and parcel of encyclopedia containing episodes of all human beings who come into existence in this world .Episode of every individual is a different story. Always there is addition to this encyclopedia. At any time we do not find any deletion to it at all. Similarly, every person who comes into this universe plays his or her part and disappears in the horizon.Here and there, occasionally only some great names make rounds that too for a short period.Nobody is permanent in this world.There is no exception to this rule. Sri Purandaradasa says human life is rare and only with His grace one is blessed with it. World is not bothered about who comes here or who goes from here. The earth revolves in its orbit and moves around sun.Every day as usual sunrise and sunset take place without fail. Of course, length of day and night vary from time to time. As such, June 21 st is the longest day of the year and December 21st is the shortest day of the year. The world marches ahead without a pause. Life is a never ending story. MEN MAY COME & MEN MAY GO BUT IT GOES ON FOREVER.
All are born equal and all die as equal too. It is the life in between that makes all the difference between one and another. Every moment there is change in this universe. As rightly said by Lord Tennyson " Old order changeth, yielding place to new ". We find changes in life style, atmosphere, circumstances and everything from time to time except fate of we people. Though it is we who lead the life, life runs according to His whims and fancies only. Fate of every individual is in His hands. Nobody can change it even a little bit. Life varies from person to person. There are various religions and cultures. Some live for a long period. Some live for a short period. Some are rich and have all comforts and some are poor and do not have any comforts at all. Some are hard working. Some are lazy. Some days are joyful whereas some days are distressful or sorrowful. Days are not alike to everybody. Days vary from person to person. Ups and downs are there in everybody’s life. Of course, there are people who are born to suffer through out their life. Their number may not be much even. Similarly a few people are always happy in their life. Life always moves forward at same pace. During good times we feel that it is rolling over fast but during bad times we feel that it is not at all moving. Further life depends on how one leads it and that in turn depends on their nature. Some are systematic; they plan their life and lead it. In life everything does not run according to one's plans. Success and failures are common in life. Sometimes our plans go awry. Life is as we take it. Life is a struggle for existence. It is survival of the fittest. Only a few have the privilege to look back and do some introspection. It is nearly two decades since my cousin Ramesh whose birth date is same as that of mine died. It was an abrupt end. He had so many unfinished tasks like education and marriages of his children. It is not only a single case of early death in isolation. There are countless such instances of untimely deaths where people have many more or less number of unfinished tasks. Some tasks remain at the beginning stages. Some tasks are only a half way through. Some tasks are at the concluding stages. Besides, there were many wishes that are unfulfilled. In addition to this, there were many dependents that needed financial backing and guidance from the deceased. Death does not come according to our convenience. Death is inevitable. Death never waits Death is very cruel.. It is the end of our life. We do not know whether there is life after our death or not. How and when the death blow falls on us we do not know. Some after suffering for a long period breathe their last whereas the others who after brief illness bid good bye to this world. There is a belief that if we do good deeds we breathe our last peacefully and without any trouble. The other way round is, if we are troublesome and responsible for many harmful deeds and a nuisance to the society have a miserable end. That is how the discrimination in culmination of life is explained. There are quite a large number of people who after a series of failures become depressed, dejected and commit suicide. They beacon death. Episode differs from person to person. Life is a tale of happiness and sorrows.
According to Shakespeare, this universe is a theatre. Life is a play. It may be a comedy or a tragedy. We are all the characters. We all play our part and depart and the curtain falls. There are no limits to our imagination. It can go to any extent. Heaven and hell are nothing but our imagination. At, Disneyland and Disney world , we find various shows of fantasy which keep us spell bound and make us realize how deep we can traverse in the world of fantasy. If we wear different glasses and look at life, as we change the lens, the picture of life which we visualize also changes. The distance also makes a lot of difference in our perception. If we look at the life of a neighbor, friend or anybody for that sake from a distance, it may appear as rosy. We will have a real picture only when we use the magnifying glass and devote more time and concentration to study the life of the concerned from proximity. Appearances are always deceptive. This time the picture may be entirely different. God has made with His immortal hands a tiger and the same God has made a lamb too. Similarly we find in this world all kinds of creations. The study of life is also a never ending process. There are still many unsolved mysteries in this world. Life is a never ending story. Life is lived forward and understood backwards.
