Gratitude isn't a today's concept. It is a fruit of many realisation. It's there from time memorial. It 's a good indicator. Those who have it are often sincere & reliable.Gratitude is not indebtedness .One with it can't be bad. One need not be rich to have it too. What's gratitude of Karna to Duryodhana. What's Ekalavya's gratitude to Drona. They are inexplicable. Life is full of gratitude. When, why where for what all it arises it couldn't be said at all. What we are today it isn't merely because of our efforts only. It's on account of others contribution also. The essence of all beautiful art, all great art is gratitude! It is the sign of noble souls & the memory of it is stored in the heart & not the mind!

Gratitude is a great quality. It makes one humble, kind, good. It reflects in persons every move. It emanates from help.It reminds of the help received. It isn't merely human beings have it even birds & animals have it.It's voluntary, it can't be coerced. It teaches one a lesson to give more than what they receive. It's good for body, mind & soul.It carves space in one's heart. It makes one magnanimous. It cannot be quantified. It depends upon individual. It can't be easily zeroed .It can't be squared off or settled. Its supreme. It transforms man into a different man. “Gratitude,” said Cicero, “is not only the greatest of virtues but the parent of all others.”AN ATTITUDE OF GRATITUDE INCREASES HAPPINESS.Gratitude must come out more in deeds than in words.Gratitude is an irremovable memory to an honest & sincere person.

Thinking differs from man to man .Thinking of one with gratitude & one without it aren't the same at all .It's gratitude makes one think twice while doing anything wrong. It is said "A serpent won't even bite where it's fed with milk."Gratitude has been a popular topic around the Positive Psychology Program lately.Stories about gratitude inspire & encourage a man usually .Gratitude doesn't develop so easily in anybody. It develops amongst fountain of emotions.Doing anything to one who has no gratitude is always futile.

The world is strange in it in some no gratitude found instead there's ungratefulness found abundantly in large quantum. Gratitude is not in the same quantum in the same way in all people. It must never be expected, it must arise on its own. It spurts & grows in some only. One who has gratitude appreciates not only with words, but also with deeds. There are not one but various ways of depicting gratitude.Gratitude & conscience always go hand in glove. It isn't enough one has gratitude one must try their best to reciprocate by doing something in return. It's a reminder that reminds us of a moment wherein we had come out unscathed with flying colours. It is one that makes round & round in the mind until a goal is completed. Right from life saving incidents, hazards, from what not gratitude doesn't emanate.

Gratitude arises not merely when one helps it arises on numerous other occasions in life too.It arises out of sacrifices too. It could be not only to known only but also it could be to unknown too.The behavior of one with gratitude & one without gratitude is just like & unlike poles.Dividend that gratitude earned brings is unimaginable. Gratitude earned is an hidden treasure. It enhances one's stature.

One whom man owes most gratitude is God. Man's gratitude to Him is more than to anybody else. Nobody pardons him more than Him at all & where there is no hope also there too God kindles hope. It's gratitude discloses what type of a person one is. A man with gratitude remembers the benefactor at the time of having food .It's gratitude that makes one consider the benefactor as equal to God too. Those who have high gratitude have high regard too. It's they who think one who taught them a letter also as their mentor too.

Gratitude doesn't emanate equally in all. In some anything little emanates gratitude a lot,in some anything a lot emanates it a little.Great persons don't expect even gratitude in return. Some people expect if not anything at least gratitude in return.

Gratitude can bring marvelous changes in the life of a man . Here is a real story in that context which I came across while surfing the web .

There was a young, poor farmer in Scotland and his name was Fleming. One day, while doing some work, so that he can get some money in order to feed his family, he heard a cry for help coming from a nearby area. He dropped his tools and ran to the place where the noise came from. There he saw a terrified boy, who was half submerged in black swamp, screaming and struggling to free himself. Farmer Fleming saved the boy from the swamp. Had he not saved the boy, he would have died a slow and terrifying death drowning in that swamp.

The next day, a stylish carriage driven by handsome horses came and stopped in front of the poor farmers front yard. It was very weird to see such a beautiful carriage in that surrounding. An elegantly dressed nobleman stepped out and introduced himself as the father of the boy Farmer Fleming had saved. He expressed his gratitude and said,

"I want to repay you," said the nobleman. "You saved my son's life."

The Scottish farmer was amazed.

"No, I can't accept payment for what I did," said the Scottish farmer, waving off the offer. At that moment, the farmer's own son came outside hearing all the noise.

"Is that your son?" the nobleman asked.

"Yes," the farmer replied proudly.

At that moment the noble man got an idea and said,

"I'll make you a deal. Let me take him and give him a good education. If this boy is anything like his father, he'll grow to a man you can be proud of."

And that he did become a great man.

Farmer Fleming's son graduated from St. Mary's Hospital Medical School in London, and went on to become known throughout the world as the noted Sir Alexander Fleming, the discoverer of Penicillin.

Years afterward, the nobleman's son was stricken with pneumonia.

And What saved him?

Penicillin.

The name of the nobleman?

Lord Randolph Churchill.

His son's name?
