Firebrand rebel Congress MLA from Parkal Konda Surekha, a staunch loyalist of YSR Congress party president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy came down heavily on the state cabinet ministers for trying to wash off their hands on the decisions taken by former Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy on doling out sops to various industrialists who had put in their money in Jagan’s companies.
“The Cabinet ministers were equally responsible for the decision taken by the YSR government. If YSR was taking his own decisions, what were these ministers doing then? Did they sport bangles or were they brushing donkey’s teeth? Is it not shameful on their part to abdicate themselves from the collective responsibility?” Surekha, who was also part of YSR cabinet, said.
Surekha expressed view that the CBI inquiry would only add to the sympathy factor in favour of Jaganmohan Reddy.
“His image will not go down among the people because of the enquiry. It only increases sympathy for him and he would come out clean in the inquiry,” she opined.
