Deepening the crisis in the ruling Congress on the day AICC in-charge for state Ghulam Nabi Azad landed in Hyderabad, Congress MLA and brother of minister Dharmana Prasada Rao, Krishna Das on Monday hailed YSR Congress chief Jaganmohan Reddy as the "leader of people."
Das went on to say that he has decided to walk along with Jagan and has no hesitation to quit the assembly if asked by his `leader.' Speaking to the media at the YSR Pranganam here where Jagan was on a 48-hour fast in support of farmers, Das said that the state government had completely failed to protect the rights of farmers.
"YSR helped me become a leader and I believe Jagan is a leader in true sense," he said. He maintained that people are not ready to digest the smear campaign on YSR and urged the Congress leaders to stop slinging mud on the YSR family. Das said he would officially join the YSR Congress once Jagan gave him the green signal.
"My path is different from that of my brother Prasada Rao. I have decided to go along with Jagan as the Congress has been identified by the people as a party without morals and ethics," he said.
