The Central Bureau of Investigation probing into the illegal assets case of YSR Congress president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy, might not take him into custody for interrogation immediately.
This was disclosed by none other than CBI joint director V V Lakshmi Narayana, who personally supervised the raids on Sakshi offices and Jagan’s residence at Lotus Pond in Jubilee Hills.
In a brief interaction with the media, Lakshmi Narayana said the searches might take more time than expected and questioning of people would begin only after consolidating all the documents seized from their offices.
“As such, there is no possibility of immediate interrogation of Jagan at present. It will take some more time. Right now, we are focusing only on searches and not arrests or interrogations,” Lakhsminarayana said.
Asked about the contents of the FIR, the CBI official said in a lighter vein that the media would know better than the CBI.
