If the Congress high command has to take action against any leader for anti-party activity, it should first expel Y S Vivekanand Reddy, former minister and party candidate for Pulivendula seat.
This was demanded by MLC and YSR Congress party leader Jupudi Prabhakar Rao. He pointed out that Viveka had been campaigning in the by-elections in the name of his brother Y S Rajasekhara Reddy, but not the Congress party.
“Nowhere in his campaign is he talking about the Congress party or taking the name of party president Sonia Gandhi. There are no pictures of Sonia Gandhi or Rahul Gandhi on the posters and banners of Viveka. He is also not seeking vote for Congress candidate for Kadapa parliamentary seat D L Ravindra Reddy,” he pointed out.
Jupudi said all these activities of Viveka amounted to anti-party activities. “Instead of taking action against the MLAs supporting Jaganmohan Reddy, the party should expel Viveka from the party,” he challenged.
