Remember the dialogue in superstar Rajni Kanth-starrer Shivaji: “Nannaa, pandule gumpuluga vasthaayi; simham single gaa vastundi (pigs come in flocks, lion comes alone)? Well, YSR Congress party leaders are using this dialogue in Kadapa by-elections to project their leader Y S Jaganmohan Reddy. His loyalist Ambati Rambabu told the media that though the Congress and the Telugu Desam Party were mobilizing all their resources and sending their political stalwarts in the campaign, Jagan was single handedly tackling them in the elections. “He is fighting like a lion all alone, despite hundreds of leaders camping on the other side,” Ambati said.
He said the Congress and the TDP were aware that Jagan was bound to win the elections. “All that they are striving now is to reduce the victory margin. But one thing is certain. Jagan will win thumping majority. Whether it is two lakhs or five lakhs will be known on May 13,” Ambati added.
The YSR Congress party leader ridiculed TDP president N Chandrababu Naidu for creating a high drama in Pulivendula. “He is trying to provoke the people out of frustration. But the voters are clever enough to see through their game plan,” he said.
