STOR-REQ Requests

From the Item Tab...

1. Highlight the specific item to request (item status will be Remote Storage)

2. Click the Hold Request button on the right side of the page.

3. Enter the patron's ID/Barcode or Net ID in the pop-up window and click OK.

4. In the Create Hold Request window, confirm the correct patron was entered + click OK

5. In the event prior holds exist on the item, 2 pop-up windows will arise in succession. Click Override in the first; click Cancel in the second

Some important notes:

  • Non-account holders will NOT be notified when the items arrive. Let them know our Storage Team makes 2 deliveries per day on weekdays -- the first around 10am; the second around 2pm -- and no deliveries on weekends.

  • STOR-REQ items are kept on a special shelf in our holds area. If someone comes to pick up an item on hold but does not have an account with us, check the STOR-REQ shelf. Remove the hold from the item and give it to the patron, letting him or her know the book may not leave the building. If the patron needs to use the item over several days, keep it on the temporary holds shelf with a slip designating the patron's name and how long to hold it.
