LSD Cell Phone Use Policy

Good Afternoon LSD Team,

I would like to remind our entire LSD Student Staff that the front desk is strictly a NO CELL PHONE USAGE ZONE! On page 13 of your LSD Student Handbook under “Unacceptable Activities” it states, “Cell phones are not permitted to be out at all.” It is very important that we maintain exceptional customer service habits with the sole purpose of providing an exceptional customer service experience to our patrons, and cell phone use at the front desk can impede that. Please be cognizant of our cell phone policy as stated below:

  1. Cell Phones are NOT allowed at the desk. Cell phone usage distracts from providing attentive customer service to our patrons.

  2. Emergencies: If you have an emergency call, get approval from a supervisor to leave the front desk to do so.

  3. Warnings: Supervisors will be monitoring the strict adherence to this policy, and will inform Staff of cell phone use policy infringements.
