When users log back on to a certain iMac, they should be able to find their files just as they left them. Since users’ files are no longer deleted at logout, we removed the temp folder because we no longer need to copy users’ files to that location. This is the setup similar to what we have on Windows PCs.
Of course, users’ profiles can be at times deleted should the hard drive run out of space or when a computer is reimaged. That is why each desktop has a warning that files saved to a computer are regularly deleted.
