Level 2 Deep Cleaning
Post date: Mar 06, 2017 7:17:15 PM
Each break, we perform deep cleaning beginning with Level 2. The Desk Supervisor will ask available students to go out and deep clean periodically, until Level 2 is done.
There is a printed Level 2 floor map at the supervisor's desk. As you have completed your round of deep cleaning, please circle what you have cleaned on the map and initial each circle. That will let us know what has been already done and who was responsible for it in case a follow up is needed.
The idea of deep cleaning is to clean everything and do it well. Here is what needs to be done on Level 2:
1. Tables without computer workstations:
Wipe each table clean with Windex and paper towels
Make sure there is no dust/dirt left anywhere; use the Swiffer duster to remove any dust from underneath the dividing screens
Open the table troughs (where the power outlets are) and remove any trash
2. Tables with computer workstations:
Turn over each keyboard and shake out the dirt
Wipe each table clean with Windex and paper towels (moving the computer, keyboard, mouse, mousepad out of the way to clean the entire table)
Use the Swiffer duster to remove any dust from underneath the dividing screens and the power outlets on the tables
3. Computers, keyboards, mice:
Clean the hardware thoroughly using Windex sprayed on paper towels for cleaning, except for the monitors
Clean the monitors with the gray 3M cloth to wipe the fingerprints and use a little bit of Windex sprayed on a paper towel for challenging spots
Clean the computer stands and the backs of the computers; use the Swiffer duster to remove any dust from the backs of the iMacs, computer stands, etc.
4. Printers and MFPs:
Dust the top of the dividing wall with the Swiffer duster
Dust the printers and MFPs
Clean the print release station computers - boxes, mice, monitors as described above
Wipe the cabinet tops, including behind equipment
Clean Omega touch screens
5. Soft furniture:
Clean it with Windex and paper towels
Inspect the furniture for ink / marker marks and eliminate them with alcohol wipes or Simple Green (available at the desk and in the cleaning supplies cabinet)
6. Whiteboards:
Clean them with water and paper towels (not erasers)
Clean the metal trays
Clean the metal frames around the whiteboards in the diamond shaped whiteboard structure
Use Mr. Clean Magic Pads and water to clean marker marks off the walls around whiteboards
Please be thorough! Take as much time as you need, but please make sure to really do the deep cleaning and get everything that needs to be cleaned. Go slowly and do it right.
Thanks!
