Dry Erase Markers are Now Available for Checkout

Our new zipper pouches containing 3 dry erase markers are now available for loan. Instead of giving patrons markers from our supply cabinets, we now loan them by checking them out in Alma. The pouches have 3 markers (black, blue, and red). They are for library use only, and have a magnetic strip that will set off the alarm at the security desk if the patron tries to exit with the pouch. Do not demagnetize the pouch on check out. They need to stay magnetized. The loan term is 24 hours. Loss of the pouch incurs a fee of $25. If a patron returns the pouch without one or more markers, charge them $1 for each missing marker.

Please note that we only loan markers, not erasers. We are still placing erasers at the whiteboards as before, making sure that each whiteboard has one eraser. If you find that an eraser is missing, please get one from the supplies cabinet under the BW printers opposite the desk.
