How to Copy
Place the originals face down, starting from the back left corner of the glass (as indicated by the green arrow).
Tap the screen of the black card reader on the table next to the BizHub to wake it up.
On the card reader's touchscreen, press Copying
Note: If you do not see the Copying button after waking up the screen, press the Back button to access this menu.
Swipe an EmoryCard or guest copy card.
Note: At this point, you will have 2 minutes to adjust your settings and hit the Start button. If you do not finish your setup within this 2 minutes, you will get the "copier disabled" message once you hit Start. In that event, repeat the above steps (hit Copying, swipe your card). Your settings will remain, so you will not need to redo them.
On the BizHub's own touchscreen, press Copy.
Tap More until you see the Original Size option and press that button. Using the sizing guides along the left and back sides of the glass, select the size that best matches your originals and press OK.
Tip 1: This option determines the scan area. It is usually better to choose a size that is slightly too large over one that is smaller than your originals so you can be sure to capture all the content.
Tip 2: If you select a size appearing in Portrait orientation in the menu but your document on the glass is in the Landscape orientation, you must also select the Content Orientation option and change the setting to Landscape.
Tap More until you see the Paper Selection option and press that button. Choose any tray with the size Letter (8 1/2 x 11) unless you have your own paper of a different size to load (we do NOT provide any size paper other than 8.5" x 11")
Make any other desired formatting selections (multiple pages per sheet, single-or double-sided, color/black & white, image adjustments, etc.)
Touch Start Copy or press the Start button on the control panel.
Press Scan. If you have more pages to copy, place the next set of originals and press Scan.
When the last page has been scanned, touch Finish.
Press the Reset button on the copier's control panel to restore the main menu.
On the card reader's touchscreen, press Exit to finish your session.
Remember: If you're copying an item that isn't the default size of 8.5" x 11", then you MUST specify the original size, which will determine the area the machine will scan...
From More Options, select Original Size and then choose which size option of the 14 given best matches the size of the original document. To help figure out the size, most of the size options are written around the top and left sides of the glass. So, for example, if the upper right corner of the document reaches "LTR-R" along the top of the glass and if the bottom left corner reaches "LTR-R" along the left side of the glass, then choose the "Letter-R" original size (which, by the way, just corresponds to an item that is 11" x 8.5", i.e., Letter-sized but Rotated).
Unfortunately, when you do this, the Paper Selection option defaults to whatever you choose for Original Size and demands you fill a tray with the correct paper size. To get around this, click on the Paper Selection option and choose a tray that the machine says is loaded with plain (8.5" x 11") paper. The copier will then automatically reduce/enlarge the Original Size to fit on the available paper. (Note: as a general policy we do not provide any size paper other than 8.5" x 11")
