Swapping shifts & syncing with your calendar

Add LibStaffer shifts to your calendar

Other notes about LibStaffer:

- All your hours will show up on your home screen under “Upcoming Shifts.” However, you can also view your schedule for level 1 and level 2 simultaneously by using “Multiple-Schedule View Only” under “Schedules” at the top. You can choose the schedules you want to view on the left hand side. You can then select your name and view your hours on either schedule at once.

How to sync your LibStaffer calendar to your iPhone via Google

For those of you who use Google, here's some steps to ensure your schedule in LibStaffer will sync to your iPhone:

1) Login to LibStaffer and click on the calendar icon and copy the URL.

2) Login to your Google account and paste the URL into the "Add by URL" option under "Other calendars" in your Google calendar.

3) Go to https://www.google.com/calendar/syncselect and select your LibStaffer calendar (ex: Rich McNeal - LibStaffer) under "Shared Calendars."

4) Click "Save."

5) Check your calendars on your iPhone and your shifts should appear after a few minutes of syncing.

REMEMBER:

  • Give up your shift at least 24 hours before you're supposed to work.

  • If someone picks up your shift, you'll get an email notification. If nobody has covered your shift on the day you posted, please contact Rich or the desk to see if we have enough coverage.

  • If you're sick or have an emergency, give up your shift (if able) and contact Rich or the desk at your earliest convenience.

Things NOT to do

  • Not giving up your shift, not calling/emailing, and not showing up.

    • Giving up your shift, but not calling/emailing or showing up.

**If you are having trouble making a particular shift, please see Rich before it becomes an issue. Adjustments can be made to your schedule, and Rich is more than willing to work with you to find a mutually satisfying solution. It is better to have a conversation about how to make your schedule work for you than to rack up repeated absences and develop a reputation for being unreliable.**
