Scanner failure

An MFP displays '!" next to "Copy" and "E-mail" functions on its touchscreen, and the functions are grayed out;

When you touch the "!", another screen appears:

  • Ask the user to use another MFP.

  • Make sure that the lock is in the unlocked position. The lock is found underneath the top part of the MFP, right above where the printed pages come out.

  • Restart the MFP by switching its power button on the left side off and back on.

  • If the error reappears, report the problem to eagleprint@emory.edu. Be sure to include:

    • The exact printer name;

    • Details about the issue;

    • What you have done to troubleshoot;

    • Your full name.
