LSD students and free printing

As you know, as LSD student employees you have a privilege of free printing using Pharos Remote. Last semester, several students took that privilege too far printing thousands of pages for free. Below is the free printing policy. Do make yourself familiar with the policy and strictly adhere to it. Those abusing the privilege in the future may be asked to reimburse their excessive printing, may lose their printing privilege and may jeopardize that privilege for their coworkers.

LSD students are allowed to use Pharos Remote to print necessary coursework for yourself (using your Net ID to send the job). The key words are:

- necessary (no wasteful, excessive, non-essential printing),

- coursework (no flyers/handouts for your student organizations),

- yourself (no printing for your friends, your professors, etc). See below for the only exception when you print for another LSD student.

30 pages or less per job is okay. Anything more, they should ask a supervisor.

Only those students currently working the shift can print using Pharos Remote. Other LSD students who need to print when off work may ask a student currently working the desk to print for them. All the rules above apply.
