On the morning of June 1st, SDL (Student Digital Life) team will be changing all print release stations to card swipe logon. This means that patrons will no longer need to type in the their netID at the release stations (currently the first step before the card swipe). They will only need to swipe their EmoryCard at a print release station to view and release their submitted print jobs.
This also means that students will HAVE TO type their netID (e.g. rkruse) and only their netID in the Pharos Popup window when printing from a computer.
Once we move to card swipe logon you may see an increase in students saying their jobs are not showing up at the release station. We recommend ensuring that they have actually submitted their job(s) using their netID in the Pharos Popup window. You can verify this by checking the queue list in Pharos Remote. If you find this to be the case, please ask the student to resubmit their job(s) using their netID.
Those using print cards (such as visitors) will have to enter the print card number instead of the netID.
Please let me know if you have questions.
