I am pleased to announce that the Library Service Desk will have a new LSD Coordinator, Lyndon Batiste, starting on Monday, June 19th. Lyndon is joining Emory University from the Clayton County Public Library where he has worked for the past 7 years, his most recent title was Assistant Branch Manager. In addition to working in public libraries, Lyndon is also a youth minister for his church. He is going to rely on all of us, students and staff, to get him trained and on-boarded.
A big thank you to Mark Johnson who has been the Interim Coordinator for the past couple of months. He has kept the desk going and has been a big help with hiring new Student Assistants and Desk Supervisors, and working to keep the desk running smoothly. He will be switching back to his Evening & Weekend Supervisor position some time in July.
Thank you also to Jessica, Erich, and Lloyd who have all pitched in covering some of the Coordinator duties and pick up many of the Evening & Weekend Supervisor duties.
This is a great team, staff and students together. Thank you all.
